Hi, I’m Dr. Robert Kaye, and I’m here to help guide you through what I know is one of the most exciting—and sometimes overwhelming—times of your life: the journey through pregnancy, labor, and early parenthood. I’ve spent over 30 years as a board-certified anesthesiologist, and much of my career has focused on obstetric and pediatric anesthesia, which means I’ve been right there with thousands of families as they prepare to welcome their little ones into the world.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of caring for over 150,000 patients, including countless expectant mothers. Whether you’re considering pain relief options like an epidural, a spinal block, or even going the natural route, I’ve seen it all—and I’m here to offer advice that comes not just from medical knowledge, but from real-world experience in the delivery room.
I’ve also been a Chief of Anesthesia at a top women’s and children’s hospital, and I’ve spent decades teaching and training the next generation of anesthesiologists. But beyond all the medical credentials, what I really want you to know is that I’ve also raised six children myself, so I completely understand the emotional and practical challenges that come with starting and raising a family.
On this site, you’ll find everything from labor pain management advice to tips on taking care of your newborn, and even guidance on things like buying strollers, nursery furniture, and planning for your family’s financial security. My goal is to provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to make informed decisions that will help your family thrive—both during the pregnancy and in the years that follow.
So, whether you’re here to learn about labor pain relief, postpartum recovery, or setting up a secure financial future for your child, you’re in the right place. I’m excited to share my expertise with you and support you every step of the way.
